Orang Laut

The orang laut are seafaring people who leave around the the waters of the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.  They are famous for being able to deep dive without equipment.  Traditionally, they live their whole lives on water, but climate change as well as population pressures have caused them to slowly give up that way of life.

I took these photos on Sibuan and Miaga islands.  But these are tiny atolls, no bigger than a golf course.
